Meet Nicola

I’m Nicola, and I use hypnotherapy to help people who struggle with sleep to reprogramme their subconscious mind and unlock the best sleep of their life.

As a child, I experienced extreme anxiety and overwhelm around noises (misophonia) at bedtime, and just the sound of a clock faintly ticking on the wall would not only keep me awake, but make me want to jump up and run screaming from the room (sometimes I did).

At age 30, I discovered hypnotherapy - and what followed for me was transformational.

Through hypnotherapy combined with other modalities, I accessed lost memories, identified key early experiences, and was able to reprogramme the limiting beliefs that were keeping me stuck.

Now, as someone who has personally experienced the incredible power of hypnotherapy, I love helping other people reach the moment of transformation that can come with accessing the subconscious mind.

Qualifications

I’m fully qualified and insured as a Hypnotherapist and Integrative Psychotherapist.

I received my diploma in Psychotherapy from the College of Contemporary Therapy, which is NCIP accredited, and my Diploma in Hypnotherapy from the London College of Hypnotherapy, which is fully recognised by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) as a General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP).

I abide by the UKCP and CNHC and GHR Codes of Ethics. As a therapist I’m also committed to continuing development and supervision.

I am a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP Registration Number 362869), Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and a Registered Practitioner of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).

Why get hypnotherapy for sleep?

As I started practicing hypnotherapy with clients, I realised that breakthroughs didn’t have to take years.

Sleep is something so many people struggle with. And yet at the core of it, the issue is not really sleep - it’s something rooted much deeper.

A multi-layered approach to sleep

Alongside hypnotherapy, I’m trained in and draw on Somatic therapy, NLP, Gestalt therapy, Soul Transformation Therapy (STT), energy healing and more, based on my experience and an understanding of what someone needs. I intuitively blend a combination of these modalities in my 1-1 sessions that make up the Sleep Alchemy 90-day programme. That might look like…

  • Identifying and reset lifelong patterns, beliefs and behaviours around sleep

  • Resetting your energetic frequency around sleep

  • Regression into past memories and experiences (conscious or subconscious) allowing for trauma release in a safe space

  • Releasing limiting beliefs and blocks using a combination of therapeutic techniques

  • Identifying and retrieving lost of abandoned parts of yourself for integration

  • Creating new beliefs and neural pathways using a combination of guided visualisation, affirmations and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)
